1940's Coral Knit Vintage Bridal Ensemble

Designed in the 40's, this rare vintage bridal ensemble is done in a gorgeous coral colored silk cotton blend knit. Appearing to be hand-made, this two piece ensemble includes a gown and separate matching sweater. The sleeveless bodice of the dress features a sexy v-cut neckline and deep v-cut back. The intricate leaf pattern of the knit is seen throughout the bodice, working it's way down to the dropped waist. The same leaf knit pattern is seen as an insertion at the lower part of the skirt, offering a trumpet skirt effect. A self fabric belt with a fabric covered metal buckle wraps the waist. The matching sweater features a lovely bell sleeve with a matching leaf pattern knit insertion, which coordinates with the bottom of the skirt of the gown. The leaf pattern insert at the base of the gown needs a slight bit of attention at the ends. However, the dress is completely wearable and is really an incredible piece.
