1940's Pearl White Bustle Wedding Gown
This incredible wedding gown was designed in the late 40's for a very special bride indeed. This is truly a ball gown made of a opulent pearl white silk organza, which fully lined with a beautiful soft satin in the same pearl color. The bodice is boned and features a strapless neckline which curves around the back in a slight dip. The waist is banded with four pleats, which accentuate the figure beautifully. The bust line carries a partially attached frontal flap that is adorned with the most interesting, yet unusual beadwork of black steel and sequins with 9 tear drop pearl accents (one is missing, but can be easily replaced). The skirt flows from the natural waist in a princess or A-line cut and includes an additional layer of tulle for added fullness. The back of the gown has a charming little bustle finished with a self fabric bow and fastens in the back with a concealed metal zipper. There is some slight discoloration and staining on the hemline, but can be easily remedied by a professional dry cleaner.
