1940's Silk Satin Strapless Champagne Vintage Wedding Gown

Designed in the 40's, this unbelievably stunning vintage wedding gown is a dream come true. The bodice, done in a luxurious champagne toned silk satin over a cotton lining features a sweetheart neckline and straight back. The bodice does have bones sewn into the back, but we recommend additional bones be sewn into the front for more structure and support. The full, semi pleated skirt falls from the natural waist and is done in a floral and circular patterned embroidered (think sutash) silk satin with an attached net overlay and is then lined in a silk crepe. A lace apron panel adorns the top front of the skirt. Netting is attached by embroidery beginning at about knee length and flows freely where it finishes at the floor. A concealed metal zipper encloses the dress at the side. There is an additional 10" attached layer of netting at the bottom of the skirt which gives it fullness. We recommend that this be replaced, due to aging. There are a few inclusions in the net overlay and some of the seams in the bodice need to be reinforced. We certainly recommend a professional dry cleaning.
