Designed in the 50's, this lovely and versatile dress is done in a white nylon chiffon with a black dotted Swiss pattern and is fully lined in acetate. The sleeveless bodice features a semi boat neck line and is trimmed in black velveteen. The spaghetti straps are also trimmed in black velveteen, which works around to the scooped back, finishing with a sweet self fabric bow above the concealed metal zipper. The waist is also adorned with a thin band of black velveteen and finishes in the back with an attached self fabric bow with long streaming ends that work their way down to the hemline. The gathered skirt features three tiers of black velveteen flocking in a lace pattern at the bottom portion of the dress. In between the three tiers of velveteen flocking, there is horizontal pleating. The pleating gives the effect of two bands wrapping around the entire skirt. Some of the flocking has worn away from time and wear. However, this does not take away from the overall design and beauty of this vintage treasure.
