1950's Black and White Swiss Dotted Vintage Day Dress

Designed in the 50's, this sweet vintage day dress is done in a 100% white cotton with a black Swiss dotted pattern and thin black stripes. The bodice features a scooped neckline under a bib collar, which is split in both the front and the back for added interest. There is a grosgrain ribbon running through the bib collar offering a slight nautical feel. The ribbon can be replaced with any desired color. Capped sleeves are semi covered by the bib collar and a single vertical pleat runs down the front of the dress from the neckline to the hemline. We have paired the natural waist of this dress with a grosgrain ribbon to match the one in the bib collar. This dress does feature a drop waist, from which the gathered skirt falls to about mid calf. This dress fastens in the back with a concealed metal zipper. There is a tiny hole in the front bodice that can easily be repaired.
