1950's Black & White Gingham Poppy Vintage Day Dress

Designed in the 50's, this vintage day dress is done in black and white gingham patterned 100% cotton with a heavy cotton lining. The bodice features a semi surplice bust line, straight back and wide black velvet shoulder straps. Sequins and rhinestones work their way down the left side of the bodice, below the dropped waistline to the large red poppy, with beaded centers, and black velvet ribbon appliqués. The full circle skirt completes the look of this darling dress. We have paired this dress with a petticoat (not included) to show fullness. A concealed metal zipper encloses the dress in the back. Some of rhinestones along the bodice and the beading in the center of the poppy appliqués are missing, but can be replaced. The appliqués need a bit of reinforcement, as does the hemline. We recommend that this dress be professionally cleaned.
