1950's Purple Schoolgirl Skirt

This adorable, retro 1950s school skirt is made from super soft, not scratchy wool.  It was designed by Evan Piconeet.  The pattern is a deep purple/grape colored tartan with brown, blue, cream and yellow stripes. The skirt fastens in a wrap style, which allows you to wear it on the natural waist or hips.  It has all around pleating, except for a flattering flat front, which is formed with a large box pleated.  The box pleated is unraveled at one end with reinforced stitching, and fastens with an oversized brass safety pin.  It is styled here with our handmade sweater (sold separately) and can be worn with a number of vintage or modern tops. The skirt shows normal wear, as expected.  However, there are no noted flaws.

Excellent Vintage Condition
