1960's Hattie Carnegie Silk Velvet Flocked Gown

Hattie Carnegie was an extremely successful fashion designer based in New York City from the 20's to the 60's making this vibrant 1960's Hattie Carnegie Silk Velvet Flocked Gown, a collector's dream. The gold, orange and lime green tones are just breathtaking. The velvet flocking throughout gives the dress an added dimension. The beautiful bodice seam design is so elegant. The waist is pleated on either side giving it slight empire lines. The back of the gown has a wide gathered ruffle that finishes off the simple lines of the back of the dress. Hattie Carnegie's fashions are always completed with amazing inside detail work as well. This particular dress is full lined with weights in the waist area for a perfect drape and offers a nylon zipper up the back. The dress has a few small spots on the skirt but is hardly noticeable due to print and should come out by a professional dry cleaner.
