1970's Bill Blass Brown Linen Shift Dress

When Bill Blass emerged on the fashion scene in the 1970's, he was known for his remarkable tailoring and beautiful fabrics. This striking shift is no exception to his designs; simple, yet intricately constructed. The dress is fully lined and the zipper is cleverly off-set on the left hand side of the shoulder blade area and then the closure is finished off with 5 eyehooks on the left shoulder. The chain on the waist gives an added dimension to an otherwise simple dress design. One hook on side chain is broken but can be hooked around in a manner that is both undetectable and secure.
