Designed in the 1970s, this original vintage wedding gown is done in a sheer floral lace over a satin taffeta lining. The sleeveless bodice features 2.5" wide pleated satin shoulder straps. The straps begin at a point, where a daisy brooch is seen, and work their way over the shoulder, where they finish at the wide satin bow in the back. The straight bust line and straight back is trimmed with the same 2.5" pleated satin band, as seen in the shoulder straps. The lace overlay is done in two panels, with a vertical scalloped edge detail that works it's way to the hemline in the front of the gown. The two panels are brought together in the front with a sheer strip of organza, which is adorned with 15 self covered buttons. A concealed nylon zipper encloses this gown in the back. This dress shows normal wear, as expected. However, there are no noted flaws.

Vintage garments should always be worn with care and consideration of their age. Please note that some garments may show signs of general wear.
Vintage garments were often tailored to fit an individual woman and evidence of seams and darts being taken in or out is not uncommon. For this reason, it is often possible to have a vintage garment altered to achieve a customized fit.
We will be happy to answer any questions about available seam allowances, darts, and hem allowances, along with recommendations on alterations before you purchase.
