1980 Crocheted Lace Vintage Wedding Dress

$163.00

Designed in the 80's, this unique vintage wedding dress is done in a champagne toned poly knit in the bodice and a crocheted lace in the skirt. The entire dress is done over an additional poly knit slip dress. The bodice features an open back, gathered semi bateau neckline, which encloses in the back of the neck with a button and loop and wide origami sleeves. A wide ruched band wraps the dropped waist from which the crocheted lace two tiered skirt falls to about knee length. The tiers of the skirt are finished with extended pieces of crocheted lace, giving this dress a flapper feel. The slip dress encloses in the back with a concealed nylon zipper, which begins at the back of the banded drop waist. There is a bit of discoloration in the crocheted lace skirt, which can be remedied by a professional dry cleaner or be left as is for a real vintage patina look. Otherwise, there are no other noted flaws.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to know about sizing?

Because great care is taken to provide accurate measurements on each item, returns due to poor fit are not eligible.

To ensure your garment is well suited for your figure, please double-check as you compare the sizes in the descriptions of the garment to your own sizes. It is best to leave a bit of room for comfort and ease of movement, so please allow for some wiggle room when taking your own measurements. Measurements should be taken with a dressmaker’s tape measure. Please measure yourself over the undergarments you plan to wear.

If you are unsure and have a question about the size of a garment or how to measure yourself, please contact us and we will gladly assist you.

What should I know about buying vintage?

Vintage garments should always be worn with care and consideration of their age. Please note that some garments may show signs of general wear.

Vintage garments were often tailored to fit an individual woman and evidence of seams and darts being taken in or out is not uncommon. For this reason, it is often possible to have a vintage garment altered to achieve a customized fit.

We will be happy to answer any questions about available seam allowances, darts, and hem allowances, along with recommendations on alterations before you purchase.

Are all of your dresses really authentic vintage?

Yes! We pride ourselves on the quality of the vintage we curate, so you will know that each and every piece we carry in our online store and boutique, are truly authentic wearable vintage. It is important to note that some may show signs of general wear.
